HOW WE STARTED

BOON TECK SEAFOOD (BTS)’s history dates back to the 1980s, with ‘her’ late grandfather being a fishmonger. Regardless of rain or shine, the fishmonger wakes up at the break of dawn and sail off to the sea daily. Depending on the day’s luck, he will return with a different quantity and variety of catches. After which, the live and fresh loot will be ferried back to the harbor. Those seafood loot will then be quickly packed, transported, and sold to the bustling morning of early Singapore’s wet markets.

HOW WE GREW

Turning a home-based business into a full-fledged one is no small matter. Boon Teck, son of the fishmonger and founder of BTS, launched the business with a modest team. Having noticed demand in the Singapore’s market for high quality seafood, he built his business upon his experience and expertise. As Singapore’s economy boomed and globalization kicked in, BTS morphed into an import-export company, that readily distributes and supports the F&B scene.

Through the years, BTS remains dedicated to their pursuit of quality excellence and credibility. Today, Crystal the second-gen of BTS believes that customers have to be the core focus, in order to deliver and bring the best. Using their collective expertise and reliable supply chain, they cordially offer a wide range of direct imports from top-notch producers for customer’s perusal.
